JD Crowe and the New South appearing at Bluegrass Through the Years Benefit

Legendary banjo player JD Crowe is known for his popular tune “Old Home Place”, which chronicles the life transition of someone leaving their home in the country for a new life in the city. JD Crowe and The New South are helping individuals who are transitioning to a new home in a senior community at the Bluegrass Through the Years Benefit Concert on September 29th at the Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Also appearing, will be IBM award winning band, The Boxcars and local favorites, Coaltown Dixie.

The 2012 Bluegrass Through the Years Concert benefits Good Shepherd Community Nursing Center in Phelps, KY and Cedar Creek Assisted Living Community in Pikeville KY. Both communities are part of the ministry of Presbyterian Homes And Services of Kentucky, Inc. PHSK offers compassionate care, senior housing, and therapy services for older adults. Charitable contributions to PHSK help provide services for those who may not be able to otherwise afford care and housing. If there is a resident facing financial difficulty, PHSK will never turn care or housing away, and relies on donations to be able to do so.

Contribute to PHSK to help older Kentuckians by purchasing tickets to the benefit or making a donation to PHSK.
