Cedar Creek Assisted Living (Pikeville)

Welcome to Cedar Creek!

Cedar Creek is an assisted living facility nestled in the beautiful mountains of Pikeville, Kentucky. It is a home that is a special blessing to families who seek a safe and secure environment for loved ones during their latter years. We have often been complimented on our personal service and “down home atmosphere”. The ‘southern-style’ of our building is relaxed and lovely, with a front porch complete with rockers and a back porch with swings. Our residents love the porches and the patio; whether taking a stroll, rocking or listening to the birds sing.

When I was restless to do something different in my life, little did I know that Cedar Creek would become my place of ministry. Having been born and reared in Pikeville, with my daughter and I being third and fourth generation alumni of Pikeville College, this area is home to me. My professional work, as well as my volunteer work with various organizations, has all unfolded in Pikeville. I am privileged to have been the Executive Director at Cedar Creek since November 1st, 2001, with our doors opening on March 1, 2002. The years since have been a blessing.

Please feel free to stop by anytime. We’d be please to welcome you home!

Brother Morgan ChapmanBrother Morgan Chapman
Chaplain
Cedar Creek Assisted Living (Pikeville)

Brother Morgan Chapman has recently joined the staff of Cedar Creek Assisted Living as Chaplain. Born in Pike County, Brother Morgan has a background in education and worked as a teacher for a number of years prior to accepting a call to full-time ministry in 1980. In addition to serving as a pastor, he has also served as an evangelist and singer in a quartet throughout churches in Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, and Ohio. Having recorded two CDs, Brother Morgan first began his work at Cedar Creek as a volunteer gospel singer. The residents and staff so appreciated his pastoral presence, when the opportunity presented itself, Morgan was asked to serve as Chaplain.

Brother Morgan feels called to his work with older adults. He leads bible study weekly, and in addition to his music ministry, visits with residents and their families. With his own mother a resident in a nursing facility, he knows first-hand the importance of spiritual companionships in this important time of life. Though he is a blessing to the residents, Morgan says, “I am most blessed when I am serving others, especially senior citizens.” Cedar Creek is grateful that Brother Morgan has the heart and calling to serve.
