This year Ruth Cassel, a resident in the Health Care Center turned a hundred years old. Ruth was surrounded by family and friends and staff as she celebrated. We’re blessed to know Ruth Cassel and we are glad we got to share her day with her.

The third annual Senior Q will be held on August 21, 2010.
Helmwood Healthcare, who has been part of this annual barbeque event since 2008, will be one of three facilities who will host members of the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) this summer. The men of Elizabethtown First Presbyterian Church and Wink’s Smokehouse personnel (a local member of KCBS) will set up their cooking equipment at Helmwood on Friday morning to prepare enough food to feed residents and their families,staff and their families, and volunteers.
