GOOD SHEPHERD DECEMBER SPIRIT OF PHSK

December 1st, 2009

Loretta Horne has been selected as Good Shepherd’s Spirit of PHSK Employee for December.

Loretta is a nurse aide and has worked at Good Shepherd for four years. She is married to Jack Horne, and they have two children, Cindy and James. The Horne’s have three grandchildren and reside at Upper John’s Creek.

The residents love Loretta, and the feeling is mutual. At night, residents sometimes refuse to let staff put them to bed saying, “Loretta will be in here in a few minutes and she will put me to bed.  She knows what needs to be done for me.” Loretta is committed to improvement and she is currently working on her GED. Prior to coming to work at Good Shepherd, Loretta spent her time caring for an elderly lady in her home.

When Loretta is away from work, she enjoys walking, sewing, and crocheting.  Congratulations, Loretta, on being selected as Good Shepherd’s Spirit of PHSK Employee for December and for earning the love and trust of one of our most valued resources, our elderly.
